Despite self-isolation, quarantine and the recommendation to leave the house only for the most necessary errands, people are looking for ways to stay in touch with their loved ones – including by sending postcards.
In times of the Covid 19 pandemic and social distancing, MyPostcard has seen a sharp increase in postcard mailing worldwide. In Germany alone, over 100,000 people sent postcards via the app last week.
“Our app is known by many for individual holiday greetings. In the last few days, however, we’ve seen a big shift in the way people write postcards. More than 80 percent of orders are currently postcards expressing solidarity and cohesion,” explains Oliver Kray, founder and CEO of MyPostcard.
