Die making: Bobst takes over the majority share of Cito-System

0

On April 8th, the Swiss machine manufacturer, Bobst, acquired a 51% majority stake in Cito-System.

In January, it had already been announced that Bobst was negotiating with the owners of Cito-System regarding a takeover. Following the takeover, it is said that Cito-System will continue under the same management with its existing network of brands and representatives. The management of Cito-System will retain the remaining 49% of Cito-System. No information was given on the turnover or purchase price of the German company with 240 employees.

The acquisition correlates with Bobst’s strategy to integrate all key components that contribute to packaging production. Cito-System offers components and tools for packaging manufacturers and the die making industry. The common goal of the partners is to further develop the field of tooling and consumables.
