While others are still discussing AI and what it can mean for print shops, Allcop Farbbild-Service GmbH & Co. KG is already putting its money where its mouth is – or rather, art based on artificial intelligence. The online art portal for street and pop art belonging to the Allgäu-based company, affengeilebilder24.de, has just added a new collection to its portfolio that includes designs generated by an AI: “AI Art.”

As stated in an announcement by the online portal, the self-generated artworks and motifs are listed under the “artist name” “Affengeile Intelligenz”, which is as fitting as it is smug. The AI Art collection is also supplemented by works of the AI artists Nilo or LofiAR.Art. Discussions are already underway with other artists to gradually expand the newly established art genre on the portal in the future. So far, affengeilebilder24.de is known primarily for street art, pop art and surrealism. The – also individual – motifs can be ordered on the portal as canvas, posters or on gold acrylic glass with or without picture or light frames.

The Allcop color picture service GmbH & CO. KG – a member of the Initiative Online Print (IOP) – took over the art portal with effect from January 1, 2022 and integrated it into its corporate group. Since then, the online store has been given a modern re-design, new product groups and presentation options for artists have been integrated, as have new filters and search options.

More about artificial intelligence – from image generators to ChatGPT – will be available next week at the Online Print Symposium at the Science Congress Center in Munich. The organizers zipcon consulting and BVDM have not only been able to win over the digital expert from ARD and ZDF, Jörg Schieb, for a lecture – there will also be a number of participants who already know how to use artificial intelligence for their own purposes. If you don’t want to miss this opportunity to network and exchange experiences, you should secure your ticket quickly.
