Peter Meyer is the new Chairman of the Board and CEO of calendar and print advertising specialist Geiger-Notes in Mainz-Kastel. In so doing, he succeeds Sven Weiß, who will be leaving the company’s Management Board at his own request at the end of the year. But the turn of the year also brings another change at Geiger-Notes.
Peter Meyer will bring extensive experience to his new tasks at Geiger-Notes: For example, he was most recently managing director of the promotional products distributors Bettmer and Saalfrank for almost ten years and is therefore considered an industry expert. “His distributor expertise will be particularly enriching for us, so that we can further expand and optimize the range of services for our distribution partners,” says founder and Geiger-Notes board member Jürgen Geiger.
Peter Meyer, who holds a degree in business administration, studied economics at the University of Trier and gained management experience in other industries in addition to the promotional products industry. He has also worked in the areas of software and solutions in the healthcare sector as well as in the IT and telecommunications industries. His professional career also includes the digital printing press manufacturer Xerox.
Sven Weiß, who has held the position of CEO of Geiger-Notes for the past three years, will leave the company at the end of the year for personal reasons and return to his East Westphalian home. At the turn of the year, there will also be another personnel change at the advertising material specialist: Because that is when company founder Jürgen Geiger will also retire from day-to-day operations. In 2024, he will move to the Supervisory Board and in this position he wants to “continue to work on preserving what is good about and in Geiger-Notes and at the same time to set the course powerfully towards the future”, as he himself puts it.
Geiger-Notes AG has been part of the Schürfeld Group since summer 2021, where it is an important pillar of the Mass Customization Group (MCG) founded in 2022. In addition to the Mainz-Kastel-based company, the MCG also includes msp druck und medien GmbH and, as of a few months ago, Wunderpen GmbH from Berlin.
