Elanders Print & Packaging has strategically repositioned itself and undergone a re-branding. The new concept is based on the four business units with which the company will present itself to the outside world in the future: Elanders print emotion, Elanders pack your product, Elanders smart publishing and Elanders product innovation. Schmid Druck GmbH, which was acquired in 2016, will become Elanders Kaisheim, Schätzl Druck & Medien GmbH, which was acquired in 2021, will operate as Elanders Donauwörth, and Elanders Germany GmbH will trade as Elanders Waiblingen with immediate effect.
Until now, the three companies have operated as independent brands. In the future, however, cross-divisional and cross-location teams of experts are to be formed to support customers with the respective specialists according to their requirements.
According to the company, the new name and the uniform corporate design of the three brands will strengthen the cohesion within the companies. “We no longer think locally, but globally and networked,” says Sven Burkhard, CEO of the Elanders Print & Packaging Group. Accordingly, the motto is now “Print-on-Demand Worldwide”.
The new business units, which have been given new logos and color schemes as part of the restructuring, each focus on different areas: Print on Demand/Mass Customization, Packaging, Publishing Solutions and Innovative Print Products. The aim of the restructuring is to remain at the forefront of the respective target markets in the future.
“Transformation requires not only optimizing what we produce, but also how we do it – and in a digital context. The question is how customers will place their orders in the future and how the files will get to our machines. The interplay of hardware and software, including data transfer to the machines via API interfaces, will lead to another decisive competitive advantage,” the official Elanders statement reads. In the course of the rebranding, the website was also relaunched; a new social media concept is to follow in the next few months.
