Until the very end, we, the bvdm and zipcon as organizers, had hoped to be able to hold the OPS in early June as planned. Due to the decision of the German parliament stating that “the epidemic situation of a national scope that was declared due to the corona pandemic will continue to apply for an additional three months until 30 June,” this is now no longer possible. The symposium thrives on its international participants and the face-to-face interactions of the online print community, which make it a unique event. Due to entry restrictions, many international interested parties will be deprived of the opportunity to travel to Munich.
However, that doesn’t matter! Because we are not burying our heads in the sand, rather we are now presenting the Online Print Symposium in late summer, when Corona will hopefully no longer have such a tight grip on us and the vaccination campaign should also have made great progress. On Sept. 14 and 15, 2021, the Online Print Symposium will take place at the intended venue as an in-person event.
The heart of the OPS is and will remain the personal exchange, the networking and the direct meeting among colleagues and experts. A carefree meeting under the familiar conditions of previous years would not be possible under the current restrictions. Even a hybrid event cannot adequately compensate for this, hence the decision to reschedule. The speakers who have already been confirmed will also be present at the new date: with Roland Keppler (Onlineprinters), Karim Bannour (Marktplatz1), Haeme Ulrich (Publishing Blog) and Georg Hansbauer (Testbirds), top-class presentations are assured.
Hanne Dinkel, Chief Customer Delivery Officer at the Spread Group, will discuss women in leadership positions in the print-on-demand business. Andreas Otto, CEO of PosterXXL, will outline strategies for long-term success, especially since PosterXXL has been one of the leading online retailers of photo products since 2004. Thomas Völcker, CEO of TOPP digital, will share his experiences: he will talk about what you can do wrong on the way to online print success and how he has learned from his mistakes. This almost completes the line-up of speakers: However, who will give the second keynote lecture, alongside Roland Keppler, still remains a secret. This surprise will only be revealed shortly before the Online Print Symposium.
Participants who have already registered will be contacted personally. Tickets already booked will remain valid. Those who cannot be present on the new date can return their ticket free of charge.
Tickets for the OPS on September 14 and 15, 2021 are available here: https://www.online-print-symposium.de/en/registration/
