The Verband Druck & Medientechnik Österreich (Austrian Printing & Media Technology Association) will launch the first hybrid Print & Media Congress in Graz on November 3, 2020. Bernd Zipper’s mantra “Restart Innovation” also represents the congress and its new format.
When the Online Print Symposium was held in Munich, it was not yet affected by the pandemic. Members from Austria have now had to deal with Covid-19 and have decided on a hybrid format. This of course is good news, as it means that the entire print industry within the DACH region has the second most important industry event and a platform for exchange.
“In view of the wave of new infections that is currently rolling in, we at the Verband Druck & Medientechnik were faced with the decision of if and how we could make the Print & Media Congress Corona-compliant,” says Gerald Watzal, President of the Association, emphasizing “We deliberately chose a hybrid event because we want to send out a signal that innovations are needed right now in order to actively shape the future.
Roger Rankel is an expert in customer acquisition. The bestselling author is launching the Print and Media Congress under the motto “Sales come from implementation”. Other renowned sales professionals, such as Hans Bachinger (People in Sales), Markus Liebeg (FH Campus 02) as well as Peter Berger and Oliver Eckelhart (Team Sales Success) will give sales the necessary kick for the success of the company.
The demands in the printing industry due to changes are high. This year, the enormous strains caused by the corona crisis have also been added to this. As part of the second key topic, “Restart Innovation”, Bernd Zipper will present his view of the key challenges and opportunities for the printing industry and provide important insights into future trends and business models in a discussion with industry suppliers. One must not be afraid to take risks in order to reap the rewards. The paradigm shift in the print industry in times of declining print runs is no longer a forecast. It is a fact that the journey from mass production to mass customization is inevitable.
In addition to the 50 tickets for the event in Graz, interested parties can book an online ticket and follow the technical papers online via live stream.
