Postponement: Online Print Symposium to be held on 28 and 29 April 2022

We were optimistic that we would be able to successfully hold the Online Print Symposium in September. However, much to the regret of all, things have taken a different turn:
  • Currently, the Corona Protection Ordinances only allow events with restrictions, which include maintaining minimum distances and holding events with a small number of people. Even though infection numbers are currently down, authorities believe there will be another significant increase in incidence numbers due to the delta variant.
  • Due to the number of registrations that have already been received for the Online Print Symposium, it is at this time no longer possible to hold the event in the planned location or in any other venue.
  • Safety of all participants is paramount and under the current circumstances cannot be guaranteed, as an increase in infection numbers cannot be ruled out.
  • The organisers have been overwhelmed by the large number of registrations and the popularity of the OPS. They cannot adequately achieve the personal exchange that is essential, even with a virtual event.

We had hoped that this summer would bring a “recovery” from Corona and that a joint OPS could be “celebrated”. But now all involved have to swallow the bitter pill that this is not the case. Therefore, it is with a heavy heart that we announce that the Online Print Symposium cannot take place again until 2022.

Despite everything, the entire team is thinking positively and is now doing all they can to ensure that the OPS can be implemented in the spring of 2022. The new, provisional date is on 28 and 29 April 2022. We ask for your understanding and a little more patience until the date can be conclusively confirmed within the next two weeks. Furthermore, the location will be different, and all participants can then be safely accommodated even under Corona protection ordinances.

Until the final confirmation of the date, the ticket function will be deactivated. All tickets already purchased will remain valid. All participants will be contacted personally.
