In an interview with Horst Huber of Priint:Werk II, the Real Innovation Seekers were able to capture some clear visions regarding the continuation of the print sector and its changes as it moves into the digital age. Where lie the challenges?
The main challenge lies in implementing printing in the world of multi-channel communication more effectively, where it is currently used for around 25% of products. Priint:Suite Connectorhub allows the collection of data and information from over 50 sources. The aim is to maximally automate the publishing process – no matter whether that process is server-based or done via an InDesign desktop – because the demand for fast provision of personalised publications is ever increasing.
About Real Innovation Seekers
Real Innovation Seekers (RIS) is the result of the close cooperation between Stuttgart Media University (HdM) and zipcon consulting GmbH, and will be accompanying drupa. During the fair, small teams of students from the degree course Digital Publishing will be the “Real Innovation Seekers” looking for the latest trends, business drivers and true innovations propelling the printing sector into the future. They document their findings in articles, short films or interviews, which will all feature these hot new trends right here in my blog.
