The Real Innovation Seekers found another innovation. Highcon launches more machines for fully digitalised processing at this year’s drupa. Production capacities, quality and the great number of different applications have thoroughly convinced RIS.
Highcon introduces Highcon Beam, Highcon Euclid III and Highcon Pulse at this year’s premier print technology fair. Innovative production techniques allow Highcon to raise the bar for productivity in digital processing. The patented Dart technology replaces traditional creasing rules and channels, resulting in very short setup times. The sheets are stamped, perforated or etched using CO2 precision lasers and an optical system. The entire process is fully digitalised, which means that last minute changes or procedures can be done right at the machine in seconds. The integrated digital stripping unit ensures the connection with a new substrate conveyance system for precise, clean cuts. The software solution Highcon Axis 2D-in-3D platform allows the processing of 2D as well as 3D data. Customers can now benefit from the full creative potential of paper and create low-cost 3D models at previously unmatched speeds and sizes with the Highcon BEAM 3D Modelling Package.
About Real Innovation Seekers
Real Innovation Seekers (RIS) is the result of the close cooperation between Stuttgart Media University (HdM) and zipcon consulting GmbH, and will be accompanying drupa. During the fair, small teams of students from the degree course Digital Publishing will be the “Real Innovation Seekers” looking for the latest trends, business drivers and true innovations propelling the printing sector into the future. They document their findings in articles, short films or interviews, which will all feature these hot new trends right here in my blog.
