The Initiative Online Print (IOP) has a new board: Roland Keppler, CEO of Onlineprinters GmbH and Ulrich Schätzl, Director Mass Customization of the Elanders Print+Packaging Group and head of the German section of Dscoop, together with Bernd Zipper, Managing Director of zipcon consulting GmbH and initiator of the IOP, will form the trio of board members of the interest group.

2022 was a mixed year for the online print industry: the war in Ukraine, the paper crisis, price increases for energy and consumables and the increasing shortage of skilled workers caused problems for many companies. Nevertheless, good profits were achieved in some areas. What will happen in 2023? The Initiative Online Print e.V. (IOP) is optimistic about the future.

Never before have there been so many: The Initiative Online Print e.V. (IOP) accepted a record number of new members into its circle at the autumn meeting on 2 and 3 November 2022 at Onlineprinters GmbH in Neustadt an der Aisch. The high level of interest once again confirms how important it is for the exchange of ideas among one another, especially in difficult times.

Only a handful of clicks, including data verification and a 3D preview even before the order is placed. Printing can be this easy – at least if Printkit has its way. For its approach to making online printing customer-centric and thus even more intuitive, the online printing startup from Berlin received the IOP Award for Most Innovative Online Printer of the Year at this year’s Druck&Medien Awards.

Networking under Corona conditions: After the spring conference of the Initiative Online Print e.V. (IOP) had to be held virtually due to corona conditions, the fall conference 2021 – in compliance with 3G rules – took place once again in person. The host for the event on 26 and 27 October was Koenig & Bauer AG in Radebeul, Saxony. In addition, the IOP welcomed a new member company, mypromo AG.
