Everybody is talking about transformation and disruption. What motivates decision-makers to change their thinking? Digital technologies! They disrupt outdated business models and practices. In Episode 2 of ZIPPER’s INSIGHTS I explain to you why and how the whole thing works.
New business models are appearing, while old ones are being gradually or even suddenly crowded out, i.e. disrupted. But why? When measured against current standards, they are simply no longer efficient enough. Too many intermediate stages in the production, communication or distribution chain. There is a wide range of reasons for this. Some solutions are simpler, faster and therefore cheaper. They are the future. Digital disruption is not totally alien to the print and media industry either! Long before genuine eCommerce – and therefore online-based trading in print products – got started, parts of the old “print world” had already been disrupted.
Following the initial video about digital transformation, I shall be dealing with digital disruption in Episode Two of Season 1 of ZIPPER‘s INSIGHTS. Decision-makers from the print industry need to review their existing business models. Is it, and therefore are you too, right up to date?
